The Eco-Socialism Working Group prioritizes the improvement, expansion, and sustainable funding of universal public services. We advocate for campaigns that build relationships with labor, electeds, and a working-class base, and are impactful enough to begin to tackle global nature of capitalism-driven climate change.

Data Center Prevention
Data centers are a threat to the environment and those who live and work nearby through a variety of issues: increasing air pollution, consuming millions of gallons of water from local reservoirs, and increasing the electrical bills of residents in surrounding areas. South Jersey already suffers from these issues from a variety of other sources, most notably having a record drought in just the last year of 2024 and data center construction will exacerbate these problems further. Our goal for this project is to mount an information campaign against current and future datacenters.

Glassboro Camden Line Advocacy
The Glassboro Camden Line will provide a plethora of benefits to the towns connected. As the project closes on its preliminary engineering design phase and enters the build phase, it’s important that residents understand the benefits this rail will bring. DSA members have created media on the benefits of the Glassboro Camden Line that is available online and in public libraries. We’re continuing to reach out to communities to strengthen the support for light rail lines in South Jersey.
