A Better World is Possible

What is SJDSA?

SJ DSA at the Vigil for the Emanet Family 3/1/25

Who We Are

We are the South Jersey chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America, the largest socialist organization in the United States with over 95,000 members and chapters in all 50 states. We believe that working people should run both the economy and society democratically to meet human needs, not to make profits for a few.

What We Do

DSA’s theory of change involves using a variety of tactics, from legislative to direct action, to fight for non-reformist reforms that empower working people and to bring a socialist future closer to reality. SJDSA has consistently fought for immigrant, tenant, and workers rights through unionizing efforts, know your rights canvassing, and more.

Get Involved

We are a democratically-driven socialist organization: member-run, member-led, and member funded. Join us at one of our general body meetings, a DSA 101, or any of the events on our calenda to find out how you can contribute to the socialist movement. Join DSA today to help us create a better world, together.
