SJDSA is South Jersey’s local chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America. We work to build up the power of working people over our society throughout the region by bringing the national struggle local. That means constructing tenant unions among renters, rejuvenating labor unions, creating networks of mutual aid, and running class struggle candidates in local and state elections. We demand a better world for workers; Medicare for All, a 32-hour week, a Green New Deal, a free Palestine, and freedom of movement. Over the years, SJDSA has run free brake light clinics, worked to unionize tenants, led know your rights canvasses for immigrants, and more! By joining SJDSA, you’re joining the forefront of the working class struggle in South Jersey.
To fight the alienation and isolation of modern society, SJDSA works to create a vibrant community alongside our organizing in the form of social nights, hikes, a book club, and more. Just as important to the outward development of the betterment of the working class is the inward development of workers with political education. We strive to fight anti-intellectualism and the mass under-funding of education by providing education to our members. No matter where you are in life, SJDSA works to provide a home for socialists and workers that dream of a better world. If you want to join the fight for democracy, organize with South Jersey DSA!
