SJDSA is South Jersey’s local chapter of the National Democratic Socialists of America. We strive to prioritize the needs of our local communities and advocate for the rights of the working class. One of our primary objectives is to educate our members about progressive ideology as well as bring light to current political issues in order to support and strengthen the movements that matter most to our members. On the surface, many of our members support Medicare For All, the Green New Deal, Student Debt Relief, in addition to other progressive programs. As a result, we coordinate our own political events and assist other progressive organizations with their initiatives through funding, transportation, research, and planning.
To foster a strong sense of community, South Jersey DSA hosts a variety of events including monthly book club meetings, movie nights, nature walks, and diverse social experiences. Whether you are a lifelong progressive or just beginning your political journey, SJDSA will meet you where you stand. There’s no time to waste when it comes to saving our democracy, and we firmly believe that our sense of community is the foundation of the work we do.
